Biography
My name is Jocelyn Acevedo, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who is a graduate with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. I have over seven years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting them through life’s many transitions and emotional challenges. My therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness and grounding techniques to help clients reconnect with the present moment and manage overwhelming thoughts or emotions. I specialize in working with anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, panic, stress management, trauma, and the emotional impact of significant life changes. I believe that therapy should be a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to take steps toward healing and growth. My goal is to help you build resilience, find balance, and create meaningful change in your life.
