We take a holistic approach to care in the deepest sense – involving a child’s goals, involving the family, focusing on context, and adapting to feedback from both the parent and child. We are on a mission to make therapy truly tailored to every patient.

Yes! Emora’s program was developed by leading psychiatric and behavioral experts to provide clinically validated, engaging, and effective care.

Our providers are carefully selected and cover a range of demographics, experiences, and styles to ensure every child or teen can work with someone who meshes well with them.

We account for each individual's preferences, goals, environment, and experiences to ensure we match a provider who can connect with the child or teen and has experience in treating what matters most to each patient.

We do! Currently, our screening and evaluation tools are directly for families, as well as through partner school districts.

Contact us to find out if your school district is covered by Emora Health.

Virtual therapy has been proven to be as effective as in-person therapy, with several added benefits:

  • Access to more therapists: Virtual therapy allows anyone to access a broader range of therapist for better child-provider matching.
  • Cost: Virtual therapy allows for reduced costs to the family, allowing us to offer our services to more people.
  • Convenience: Increased flexibility around when to meet with a therapist, without having to leave the comfort of your school or home.
  • Privacy: Nobody has to know if you are joining a therapy session unless you want them to know.

You can visit www.emorahealth.com/therapists to find availability by appointment type, preferred provider, and more. This will show each provider's next available appointment date, whether you're looking for therapy or evaluations.

For therapy, typically appointments will be available from some therapists in as little as 2 days. For evaluations, we do our best to have open availability every week.

Getting started

Typically, a parent, school representative, or another care provider will refer a child, although a child can request services directly as well.

It’s easy! Simply fill out this quick form and we’ll reach out to come up with a plan.

Anywhere! That’s the beauty of virtual therapy. You will be sent links to join secure video-based sessions with your provider, and can join from anywhere that’s private and quiet.

We’d love to partner with your school – reach out to see if your school offers our services.

If your school doesn’t have a partnership with Emora, we can still work with you – simply reach out here.

If Emora cannot address all of your needs, we will work with you to find a solution that can.

Insurance

We do – we are currently in-network with most major insurance plans to ensure everyone can afford high-quality care. For any plans out-of-network, we can work with you to navigate your out-of-network benefits and create a plan. You can reach out to us directly at 786-600-3353 or hello@emorahealth.com to confirm if your plan is covered today.

We are currently active in Florida, Texas, Illinois, and Missouri, and are actively working to expand into new states.

Reach out to us to find out if we offer our services in your state today.

Often, a small co-pay (a flat dollar amount) or co-insurance (a percentage of care cost) is required by your insurance carrier. We will work with you to manage any co-pays or co-insurance amounts that are required by your plan, and will discuss this with you prior to getting started.

If you don't have insurance coverage or have an out-of-network plan, we still strive to make therapy affordable while compensating our expert clinicians for their time.

Therapy cash-pay rates are as follows:

• $150 for the initial evaluation and treatment plan (60 minutes)

• $85 for 30 minute follow-up sessions
• $100 for 45 minute follow-up sessions
• $125 for 60 minute follow-up sessions

Evaluation cash-pay rates are as follows:

• $175 for the initial assessment
• $500 for the testing session
• $300 for the report, review, and personalized recommendation

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Medication management is a thoughtful, ongoing process led by a licensed psychiatric provider who specializes in mental health care for kids and teens. It involves evaluating whether medication might help your child, prescribing the right kind of support if needed, and checking in regularly via virtual sessions to make sure it’s working well.

The goal is to help your child feel better in a safe, steady, and personalized way. Your provider will partner with you throughout the process — answering questions, monitoring progress, and making adjustments when needed.

Therapy offers a safe space where your child can meet with a licensed therapist to share their feelings, learn healthy coping skills, manage stress, and practice age-appropriate strategies to strengthen emotional well-being.

Psychiatry focuses on whether medication might be helpful for your child. Psychiatric providers are medical professionals who can evaluate symptoms, prescribe medications when appropriate, and check in regularly to make sure it’s working.

Both types of support can work together to help your child feel better — so whether you start with therapy, psychiatry, or both, we’re here for you every step of the way.

Yes! Our therapists and psychiatric providers work closely as a team to offer the very best care. With your permission, they share clinical notes so your child receives coordinated, whole-person support — without having to retell their story.

This kind of collaboration doesn’t just make care easier. It also helps your child feel better, faster, with providers who are all on the same page.

Yes. Your child can continue working with their current therapist outside Emora while seeing one of our psychiatric providers for medication management.

For those seeing both a therapist and psychiatrist through Emora Health, care and progress notes can be shared across specialists if desired.

We hire the top (<5% of applicants!) pyschiatric specialists – including Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, whose care is supervised by Board-Certified psychiatrists.

Yes. We only work with providers who are highly qualified and specialized — and deeply committed to helping individuals thrive

All of our providers are licensed mental health professionals who specialize in working with children, teens, or young adults. They’ve been carefully vetted for their clinical expertise and their compassionate, kid-friendly approach.

Emora’s medication management is highly personalized and guided by the latest research and safe practices for your child’s age and needs. If medication is part of your care plan, our psychiatric providers may prescribe evidence-based, non-controlled medications like SSRIs (Zoloft, Lexapro, or Prozac), SNRIs (Cymbalta or Effexor), and others such as Wellbutrin, Buspar, Trazodone, Abilify, or Strattera.

We do not prescribe controlled substances like Adderall, Ritalin, Xanax, or Valium. If these are needed, we can help you find a trusted provider who is able to prescribe them.

We do not prescribe controlled substances like Adderall, Ritalin, Xanax, or Valium

Our goal is to help your child feel their best — safely and thoughtfully. So if controlled substances are the best option for your child, we can help you find a trusted provider who is able to prescribe them.

Not at all. Medication is just one tool that may be helpful depending on your child’s needs. Our providers take a personalized approach and will work with you to decide if it’s the right fit.

Some children benefit from short-term medication, while others may need ongoing support. Your provider will regularly review your child’s progress and help you make informed decisions about what’s best for your family.

You can pick up your child’s medication from your local pharmacy. Our providers will work with you to identify your preferred pharmacy. If you receive mail order delivery through your insurance, you may also be able to receive medication through delivery as well.

No, a diagnosis is not required to begin care. During your first session, your provider will complete a comprehensive initial evaluation to determine whether medication is appropriate.
