My name is Michael Zolondek, and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I have clinical experience working with those who have struggled with complex trauma (emotional, physical, and sexual), depression and anxiety, family relationships, and religion/spirituality. In both my personal experiences and professional work, I have seen how healing therapy can be. I look forward to working with you wherever you currently find yourself in life in order to help you discover ways to heal!

With over two decades of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I specialize in attachment trauma, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of early life experiences. Many of the people I work with understand their struggles intellectually but continue to find themselves caught in the same emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and nervous system responses. Together, we explore not only what is happening in the present, but also the experiences that shaped those patterns and how healing can begin. My approach integrates somatic therapy, attachment-focused treatment, and nervous system regulation to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and more secure relationships. I have advanced training in Somatic Experiencing and Dr. Bruce Perry's Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), allowing me to approach healing through both a relational and neurodevelopmental lens. Whether I am working with a child struggling with big emotions, a teenager navigating relationships and identity, or an adult carrying the impact of trauma, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can better understand themselves, strengthen their capacity for connection, and create lasting change. I also support parents in understanding their child's emotional and behavioral needs while strengthening connection, communication, and attachment within the family. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel safe enough to bring forward the parts of themselves they have learned to hide, protect, or carry alone. My role is to help clients make sense of their experiences, build greater self-trust, and move toward healing that feels meaningful, sustainable, and deeply rooted in who they are.
