Biography

With a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, Jeff brings passion, experience, and clinical expertise to his work. Jeff is a licensed mental health counselor with over three decades of counseling experience. He has worked in a variety of settings including acute hospitalization, residential treatment, community mental health, agency services, and private practice. He is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma therapy, infant mental health, grief work, ADHD treatment, mindfulness therapy, and child and adolescent treatment. He has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families. He also works with adults and children facing issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, and relationship concerns. Jeff tailors every session to each client’s unique needs and goals. Jeff enjoys helping clients develop and practice new coping and problem-solving skills to better manage their emotions and improve their functioning. He works with clients and families to identify and build on their strengths and to find ways to improve the quality of their lives. He is open, honest, and genuine in his approach to helping others. Clients and families should expect to be able to develop skills to better manage depression, anxiety, anger, and stress. Jeff believes in creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going to concerts and festivals, and exploring new places and activities. He also enjoys watching his beloved Michigan State Spartans on tv in his man cave.
