Biography

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Karen Jones, LPC-S. I have a deep passion for supporting children and families, especially those navigating the unique challenges of neurodiversity and complex needs. My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior University and continued with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Angelo State University. Still, I believe my most valuable education has come from real-life experiences. I’ve worked as a teacher in both general and special education, coached youth athletics, served in social services, and parented a young man with significant special needs. These roles have profoundly shaped the way I connect with children and families. I understand the importance of meeting each child where they are, honoring their individuality, and helping them build the tools they need to thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically. My counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each child’s unique story. I believe every child deserves to be seen, heard, and understood—not only through the lens of their challenges but through the strengths and potential they carry.
