Biography

Counselor | Advocate | Healer of Hearts | Trauma-Informed Practitioner With a heart rooted in compassion and a mission grounded in hope, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate committed to walking alongside individuals on their path to healing and personal growth. My approach to counseling is deeply informed by over a decade of experience serving diverse populations, including at-risk youth, justice-involved individuals, and those facing trauma, grief, and emotional regulation challenges. My work is guided by a holistic and human-centered lens, one that values the whole person and integrates mind, body, and spirit. I create safe and affirming spaces for clients to feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether supporting someone through a life transition, processing trauma, or building healthier coping strategies, I lead with empathy, authenticity, and a deep belief in the power of therapeutic connection. Throughout my professional journey, I have served in roles such as case manager, educator, and mental health practitioner. These experiences have strengthened my ability to build rapport, navigate systems of care, and advocate for vulnerable populations. My theoretical orientation blends person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused techniques, with a culturally responsive and trauma-informed foundation. I am trained in Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Trauma Informed Practices and Prevention strategies, and I’m continually seeking growth through evidence-based practices. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their story, holding space for healing, and celebrating their strengths. My goal is simple but powerful, to help others feel whole again. I show up with warmth, consistency, and care and ready to support the whole individual and their journey toward healing, one session at a time.

Mrs.Ford, is great with our daughter. My daughter looks forward to her sessions. She is opening a little more understanding what is being redirected through these sessions. My daughter is not only learning how to cope with her feelings but is is starting to understand.

Sometimes there will be days where everything is blurry and just feels gloomy. However, the sessions help my daughter understand the frustration of things. Sometimes the reality kicks in when someone else says rather than the parent and these sessions help my daughter understand we are not the bad guys.

Mrs.Ford provided a lot of information and provided a lot of knowledge of what the diagnosis could be. I found it help to understand the plan moving foward and how we will address sessions as we go. I found it helpful that this program is what we are looking for, for my daughter's well being.
