Biography
I’m Danette “Dani” Simmons, M.S., LMFT — a trauma-informed therapist specializing in helping children, teens, and their families navigate big feelings, difficult transitions, and challenging life experiences. I have over twenty years experience working with youth and families. I create a safe, supportive space where young people can explore their emotions, build confidence, and learn skills that strengthen their resilience. My approach is gentle, collaborative, intergrative, and rooted in evidence-based practices such as Person- Centered, Solution Focused Therapy, CBT, TF-CBT, IFS, and Narrative Therapy. I work closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance that helps the whole family communicate more openly and feel more connected. Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, behavior concerns, trauma, identity questions, school stress, or family changes, my goal is to help them feel understood and empowered — and to help families grow stronger together. I support young people and families in finding hope, healing, and a healthier way forward.
