Biography

I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor with extensive training and a deep passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their families through life’s challenges. Over the course of my internships, I spent roughly two-thirds of my clinical hours working directly with kids, helping them navigate anxiety, emotional regulation, school and social challenges, and the impact of trauma. I also partner with parents to strengthen connection, build safety at home, and understand behaviors through developmental and attachment-informed lenses like the owl, watchdog, and possum frameworks. My approach blends evidence-based practices with creative, developmentally tailored strategies, so that therapy feels both meaningful and accessible for children and their caregivers. I believe in creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where young clients feel safe to express themselves, explore emotions, and learn skills that support resilience and growth. Parents are essential collaborators in this work, and I strive to empower them with tools and insight that extend healing beyond the therapy session. At Emora, I’m dedicated to helping families thrive virtually through empathetic care, clear communication, and strategies that support emotional well-being at every age and stage.
