For more than thirty years, my life’s work has helped clients achieve freedom—both on their favorite "stage" and in their lives. My practical, action-oriented approach to therapy is a unique balance of gentleness and challenge. I specialize in building resilience, guiding clients to face their fears, overcoming limiting beliefs, processing grief, and taking charge of their lives. My work integrates the essential task of addressing unresolved “stuff” from the past with the development of skills to create a vibrant and fulfilling future. I deeply value the power of meaningful relationships. I love coaching parents and partners committed to bettering themselves, to better their relationships. I believe the relationship we cultivate with ourselves deserves equal care and compassion. Together, we’ll uncover your “best self” and bring it forward to navigate the challenges of today’s world. It would be my privilege to be your healing partner on your adventure today.

Welcome to Emora Health, my name is Betty Wicks. I am a clinical psychologist who has been practicing since 2008. I work with a wide range of individuals, from youth to adulthood. For the last few years, I have been working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. This includes people with Autism, ADHD, learning differences, and giftedness. However, I first began working with children with various mental health conditions and special needs in 2008. I worked at an agency that provided mental health services for youth and their families. Working with children and supporting their parents was something I enjoyed doing. Over the last few years, I have provided comprehensive testing not only to clarify diagnosis but also to help families create a plan moving forward. I enjoy working with the family to create practical steps toward their identified needs. I also work with adults who are seeking diagnosis and guidance. After testing is completed, I am always happy to provide follow up consultation or treatment when it is appropriate. In 2019, I started working with military veterans providing disability evaluations and trauma informed treatment. Working with individuals with a history of trauma is one of my other strong interests. This interest also began in 2008, when I was working with children in foster care and who were victims of child abuse. I have spent years studying all the ways that trauma impacts life functioning from youth to adulthood. It has been a privilege for me to walk with someone as they make the brave decision to heal and rebuild their lives. Because anxiety, depression, and chronic pain are common conditions related to trauma, they too have been a regular focus in my practice for many years. Aside from using evidence based treatment methods, I may incorporate breath work and somatic exercises to integrate the mind with the body if that is something that is of interest to the client. For those individuals who might prefer treatment in spanish, I am fluent in this language and would be able to provide you with mental health services. All the best— Dr. Wicks

I have been providing thorough evaluations since 2011 in the school setting, as well as, in private practice. My passion is in the area of psychological testing because I believe testing can inform treatment and help an individual holistically understand themselves. Hello, I’m Dr. Sehrish Tariq, and I serve as the Clinical Director at WellQor for Illinois, Michigan, and New York. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University and am a licensed Psypact provider, which enables me to offer services across 31 states nationwide. My journey into psychology was driven by a desire to support others in achieving personal and vocational growth. I’ve always been deeply fascinated by human behavior and mental health, and that passion continues to guide my work with clients every day. I bring a broad range of clinical experience across diverse populations and settings. I specialize in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My background also includes extensive experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, group therapy, and family therapy. I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide array of challenges, including oppositional and risk-taking behaviors, attention-related difficulties, parenting and discipline concerns, domestic violence, eating disorders, academic and motivational issues, ADHD, substance use, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Through my years in practice, I’ve learned that meaningful change starts from within. While we may not be able to control our external environment, we can shift how we interpret and respond to it. I believe in empowering clients to make those internal changes that lead to greater happiness and fulfillment. As your therapist, I’m here to help you become the change you want to see in your life. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Dr. Stone has a calm, caring presence that makes it easy to open up. In just one session she helped me see things about myself that I hadn’t been able to name before. It was emotional but in the best way, like finally being understood after carrying things alone for a long time. Her insight is gentle but powerful. I’m thankful for the space she creates and the way she listens.
