The Problem We're Solving Together

Demand is outpacing campus resources

Students wait weeks for an initial appointment, counselors are burning out, and the consequences, academic performance, retention, and student safety, are measurable.

Emora gives universities a high-quality, insurance-covered overflow solution that feels like an extension of your existing services.

What the Partnership Looks Like

Emora integrates with your counseling center as a referred overflow and step-down partner. When your counselors are at capacity, when a student needs specialty care your team doesn't provide, or when students are studying remotely, Emora is available within 48 hours.

For universities that want a more formal integration, we offer white-labeled referral pathways, dedicated Emora counselors assigned to your campus, and reporting packages that give student affairs leadership visibility into utilization and outcomes.

Why the 18–25 Cohort Is Different

Young adults in college are not just older adolescents, and they're not yet fully established adults. This age group carries distinct clinical needs: first presentations of anxiety and depression, emerging substance use, identity development, academic-related burnout. These require specialized training to address effectively.

Every Emora clinician who works with 18–25 year olds is specifically selected and credentialed for this population.

Five teenagers are gathered outdoors, smiling and looking at books and papers, engaged in a discussion or collaborative learning. The bright outdoor setting with green foliage suggests a positive and engaging environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Emora is designed to extend the capacity of your existing team — handling overflow, specialty needs, remote or off-campus students, and longer-term clinical cases that benefit from continuity outside the semester calendar. Your counselors remain the front door; Emora is what's behind it when demand exceeds what they can handle.

Because Emora operates independently of the academic calendar, students can maintain their care relationships year-round and through major life transitions. This continuity is one of the most common gaps in campus mental health — we close it.

Most students are covered under their parents' or their own insurance plans. Emora accepts the major commercial carriers and verifies insurance at intake. Students pay between $0 and $30 per session on average. For uninsured students, self-pay options are available.

We're happy to discuss technical integration options as part of a formal partnership. Reach out to our partnerships team to explore what's feasible for your institution.

Emora collects structured post-session feedback and tracks clinical progress over time. For formal university partnerships, we can provide aggregate, de-identified reporting on utilization, session volume, and client-reported outcomes to support your student wellness reporting.

Let's work together to support your students' mental health.

Whether you're a dean, counselor, or wellness director, we'd love to talk about how Emora can extend your campus mental health capacity.
