Linehan's TIPP. Use only when affect is past 7/10 — TIPP is a crisis-level skill, not a daily-practice skill. Match the skill to context: T for cold-water access, I when movement is OK, P1 anywhere, P2 in any chair. The timer is the active ingredient — kids skip the duration without it.

TIPP is part of Linehan's DBT distress tolerance module. Each technique has independent physiological evidence — cold-face dive reflex, exercise-induced cortisol drop, vagal tone via paced exhale, and PMR.
