Biography

Hello, I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience specializing in trauma, domestic violence, human trafficking, and substance abuse. I have served in leadership roles, including interim executive director at Haven House Shelter, and I am passionate about advocating for mental health in the African American community and communities of color. I hold a Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Chicago. I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, integrating reflective techniques, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help clients develop self-awareness and emotional resilience. I believe that healing begins with empathy and understanding. She creates a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, build coping skills, and achieve personal growth.
