Biography
Therapy can feel intimidating at first, so let me begin by saying this: I’m not here to “fix” you—I’m here to meet you where you are, walk alongside you, and help you navigate life’s tough moments with compassion, curiosity, and a little bit of humor when needed. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of Texas, supervised by Lakeisha Williams, LPC-S (license 75604), a proud graduate of Lamar University with a Master’s degree in Counseling and Development, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care. I specialize in supporting clients with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I also work with clients on building confidence, improving social skills, and navigating relationship challenges. My style is collaborative and flexible—no one-size-fits-all therapy here. I take the time to understand your story and tailor the process to what works best for you. At the heart of my work is a belief in resilience—the idea that even in our hardest seasons, we can grow, heal, and reclaim a sense of peace and purpose.

Emerson didn’t want to participate at first, but Keri found a way to connect with him and make it a productive session

As a parent it was great to hear her therapist giving her “homework.” From my perspective, it is empowering her. Which is different from my homework lol. As mom, I’m nagging and telling her what to do. So the reframing is wonderful. I’m looking forward to her growth and connection with her therapist and with us….especially with me.
