Hi! I’m Qiana Smith, RCSWI, a therapist who believes every young person has superpowers—sometimes they just need help discovering them. I use CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing (all just fancy ways of saying “tools that help your brain and feelings work together”) to support kids, teens, and young adults who’ve been through tough or overwhelming experiences. I’m trauma-informed, curiosity-driven, and always ready to listen. Whether we’re talking, drawing, or practicing calming skills, my goal is to make therapy feel safe, encouraging, non-judgmental, and maybe even fun. I team up with caregivers and families so each of my clients can feel stronger, braver, and more confident in everyday life.

I am a resourceful counselor with 20 years of experience in individual and group therapy. Throughout my career, I have worked across the mental health spectrum—from child welfare and crisis intervention to addiction counseling. I truly love working with children and believe in meeting them exactly where they are. I specialize in play therapy and bring a sense of wonder to my sessions by using puppets, toys, and storytelling. Even via telehealth, I use my puppets to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment where kids can feel comfortable opening up and being themselves
