Supervised by Tara Bates, MSW, LCSW-S Kristina is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who genuinely enjoys helping people make sense of life when things feel heavy, confusing, or stuck. She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington and also holds a master’s degree in sociology from Temple University in Philadelphia. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, stressed, or just not quite like yourself, Kristina gets it—and you’re not alone. With nearly 20 years of experience teaching at the college level and working in nonprofit settings, Kristina brings both knowledge and real-world understanding into the therapy room. She’s especially attuned to how relationships, life transitions, and larger social systems can shape how we think, feel, and move through the world. If you’re unsure about therapy or feeling nervous about starting, that’s completely okay. Kristina welcomes those conversations and believes therapy works best when you feel comfortable being honest—even about your doubts. She works with individuals, couples, and groups, including adolescents, young adults navigating change, middle-aged adults, and older adults (65+). She supports clients dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma, PTSD/C-PTSD, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, and women’s issues. Above all, she strives to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and judgment-free. Life can be really hard at times. Kristina believes that with the right support, you can build tools that help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to yourself. Her approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing from evidence-based practices like attachment-focused therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative and solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based perspectives. She tailors therapy to your goals, values, and pace—because there’s no one-size-fits-all path to healing. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Come as you are. Kristina is known for her warmth, patience, and ability to truly listen. She believes everyone deserves a life with more ease, meaning, connection, and moments of joy. I am honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, growth, and lasting change. I am always TEAM YOU!

Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where children, adolescents, and adults can be themselves and feel truly understood, In our work together, I want to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and focus on your strengths. Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other through conversation and a thorough assessment, so we can decide together what support will be most helpful for you. I understand that experiences can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating, and you don't have to navigate them alone. I believe goals can change as life changes, and I stay flexible so we can adjust along the way. My hope is to support you with empathy, guidance, and encouragement as you grow, heal, and move toward feeling more confident and resilient.

Starting out with the feelings wheel helped me name my feelings first, then talking through everything was helpful. I didn't realize how I was feeling until I saw some of the adjectives. It was the perfect mix of feeling better letting all of my frustrations out, but also learning tools to help with phobias.

What made my session helpful was having my therapist listen to me and validate what I was feeling but also provide me with feedback on how I can ground myself when getting stressed. For a first session, she made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I tend to be akward so I appreciated this in a therapist. I'm very excited to continue working with her to improve my stress, depression, and anxiety.

Hello and Welcome Starting therapy can feel like a big step; and you don’t have to take it alone. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, uncover strengths, and move toward meaningful change. I work with clients who have anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, stress management. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your unique needs, values, and pace. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for growth, therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, direct when needed, and I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy to support your goals. Reaching out can be the hardest part; and also the first step toward something better. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on this journey.
