The way everything was explained in the evaluation, carefully going through each section and explaining what it means and how it applies. Was exceptionally good at finding ways to connect to my child and getting her to engage and respond. I felt that this was a very positive experience for our family.

Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), in both Illinois and Colorado, and a Certified Yoga Instructor who absolutely loves to support individuals on their journeys of healing. Whether I am working with children, adolescents, or adults, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space, full of empathy and warmth, for you to process your feelings and experiences. Life can be such a whirlwind, but you are not alone; I will meet you where you currently are without judgment, and we will work through this as a team. I am passionate about working together as a team to assist you in finding peace and making the appropriate changes to improve your well-being. Life can bring us devastating and life-changing challenges, both big and small, and it can also bring us incredible joy. My goal is to meet you where you are currently at in life without judgement and explore together, as a team, which methods will be most healing and which steps to take to bring positive changes. Everyone has different needs and backgrounds, and knowing this, it is important that each person has an individualized therapy experience and treatment plan that works best for them on their journeys. While my background in social work aids me in strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for my clients, I also can support you in building self-advocacy and self-empowerment skills. We can holistically work through your needs together to achieve personal success and accomplish your goals. I specialize in treating trauma, mood disorders (anxiety, depression, bipolar), childhood behavioral challenges, mindfulness, grief, working with individuals who receive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans in the education system, and working with individuals who have symptoms related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, friendships, bullying, conflict resolution, parenting issues, life transitions, environmental trauma, community violence, domestic violence, and other areas of concern. I am also a 500-hour Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist. These trainings have involved trauma-informed yoga, women's health, the nervous system, restorative work, meditation, and specific anatomy courses. I am able to bring this knowledge and experience with yoga to my sessions to support clients with a number of life situations, such as intergenerational trauma, anxiety, spirituality, and chronic pain. I strongly believe that by using a strengths-based approach and fostering trusting relationships, I can better serve and empower my clients. I also use an integrative therapeutic approach and strategies that will best support each client, instead of using only one type of technique. The skill sets I primarily use are evidence-based practices and include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, play-based interventions, narrative work, somatic therapy, and talk therapy. I have used these techniques while working in elementary and high schools, as well as currently in a private practice setting with children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy can be new and scary, even if you have already seen a therapist in the past. You are not alone. I know that healing takes time and is a process. My professional and personal experiences have shaped me as a therapist and taught me the power of resilience and personal strength. No matter your reason for going to therapy, I will provide you with new skills and a safe space to process your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and life events, whether they occurred in the past, are happening now, or are planned for the future. Please contact me to set up an initial appointment, and you can start the first step of healing today.
