Frequently asked questions

What does our first session look like?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. There's no pressure to share everything at once we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

How long does therapy typically take?

Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients see improvement in just a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. The length of therapy depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and the pace that feels right for you. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work together as needed.

How often will you communicate with me as a parent?

Depending on your child's age and needs, I collaborate with parents and caregivers to support progress both in and outside of therapy.

Do you give homework or practice between sessions?

Sometimes. Therapy doesn't come with mandatory homework, but I may suggest skills, exercises, or small practices between sessions to help you apply what we're working on in real life. Any recommendations are tailored to your goals and designed to feel manageable, not overwhelming.
