Biography
Hi, I’m Claudia, a licensed therapist and social worker (LCSW) who believes therapy should feel warm, supportive, and personalized. I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a comfortable, down-to-earth environment where clients feel safe showing up exactly as they are. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, which is why I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I use a blend of approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. My background has given me the opportunity to work with people in many different stages of life and healing. I spent several years working with adults in outpatient case management and inpatient psychiatry before transitioning into school-based social work, where I’ve supported children and teens ages 8–18 through emotional, behavioral, social, and everyday life challenges. Working with children and adolescents is especially important to me because I believe young people deserve support early in life and should have the opportunity to learn healthy coping skills that help them navigate difficult emotions, relationships, and life experiences as they grow. My goal is to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered while building tools they can carry with them long after therapy. I value creating authentic connections with my clients and believe therapy works best when we work together as a team. And as an animal lover, don’t be surprised if you occasionally hear dog tags jingling or spot a curious cat tail during virtual sessions.
