Biography
After working as a teacher, in community mental health, as a therapeutic foster parent, and with foster care at DSS, I went back to Western Carolina University and obtained my Masters in Social Work with a focus on integrated behavioral health. I am deeply passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life's challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, executive functioning, attachment, and self esteem concerns. My approach is patient and family centered and includes evidence based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Circle of Security parenting, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. My goal is to help those I work with further develop their strengths, experience success, and reach their true potential.
