Today’s session was very helpful. Our therapist, Alyssa got to see how our 6 year old daughter’s negative behavior can be some times with real life examples and Mrs. Alyssa was able to provide us with on the spot feedback.

Provider is always amazing. I hate counseling in general because feelings are a waste of my time but Christina is always great.

I came to Emora, practially at my wit's end, to find a counselor for my 14 year old son. After a single session, where I explained what was going on, and Ms. Lisa met my son, I finally feel...hope. She listened with empathy and understanding, in a way that allowed both me and my son, who is NEVER comfortable talking to strangers, to feel safe talking about delicate, often embarassing matters.

We are so very happy with seeing Sharon for Therapy. I am so greatful for her knowledge of all things Sped/504. She's kind and helpful and when you feel like you're drowning, this means everything. She engages my son, which is no easy task and he actually enjoys his sessions with Susan. We cannot thank you enough!

I really enjoy talking with Marissa!! She listens and doesn’t judge me. It’s hard for me to get out my feeling with speaking. Im better when writing stuff down but I seem to be able to communicate a little better with her as she makes me feel seen.

We take a holistic approach to care in the deepest sense – involving a child’s goals, involving the family, focusing on context, and adapting to feedback from both the parent and child. We are on a mission to make therapy truly tailored to every patient.

Yes! Emora’s program was developed by leading psychiatric and behavioral experts to provide clinically validated, engaging, and effective care.

Our providers are carefully selected and cover a range of demographics, experiences, and styles to ensure every child or teen can work with someone who meshes well with them.

We account for each individual's preferences, goals, environment, and experiences to ensure we match a provider who can connect with the child or teen and has experience in treating what matters most to each patient.

We do! Currently, our screening and evaluation tools are directly for families, as well as through partner school districts.

Contact us to find out if your school district is covered by Emora Health.

Virtual therapy has been proven to be as effective as in-person therapy, with several added benefits:

  • Access to more therapists: Virtual therapy allows anyone to access a broader range of therapist for better child-provider matching.
  • Cost: Virtual therapy allows for reduced costs to the family, allowing us to offer our services to more people.
  • Convenience: Increased flexibility around when to meet with a therapist, without having to leave the comfort of your school or home.
  • Privacy: Nobody has to know if you are joining a therapy session unless you want them to know.

You can visit www.emorahealth.com/therapists to find availability by appointment type, preferred provider, and more. This will show each provider's next available appointment date, whether you're looking for therapy or evaluations.

For therapy, typically appointments will be available from some therapists in as little as 2 days. For evaluations, we do our best to have open availability every week.

Most families pay $0–$30 per session. We're in-network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Optum, United, TRICARE, and more. During sign-up we verify your benefits and walk you through any costs before your first session.

Emora's licensed pediatric therapists serve families in Texas, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, and more. You can browse therapists by state and availability, then book a free 15-minute match call.

A child therapist provides talk therapy and behavioral support. A child psychologist primarily helps with ADHD, autism, and other behavioral and developmental assessments. A child psychiatrist or a psychiatric nurse practitioner can prescribe and manage psychiatric medication. At Emora, the three work as a team — you can see a therapist, a psychologist, or a psychiatrist, or all three, and they share notes with your permission.
