Life can feel like a lot, especially when you’re balancing school, relationships, family expectations, and trying to figure out who you are, where you’re going, and how to handle it all at the same time. If you’re here, something may feel off, overwhelming, or just hard to sort through on your own. Therapy can be a space to talk things through, understand what’s going on, and start feeling more in control of your day-to-day life. I see therapy as a collaborative process. My role isn’t to judge you. It’s to help you understand yourself, build skills that feel useful in your day-to-day life, and feel more confident using your voice and advocating for what you need. I bring experience and perspective. You bring your thoughts, your worries, your hopes, and your stories. Together, we will make sense of it and figure out what will help you move forward in a real, sustainable way. I know it can feel awkward to about your problems, especially with someone you don’t know yet. My goal is to make this feel as real and comfortable as possible. With me, you can expect a space where you can be honest and fully yourself. I’m not here to lecture you or tell you what to do—I’m here to listen, understand, and help you make sense of what’s going on in your life. I’m a direct but kind communicator, and I use a mix of thoughtful conversation, practical tools, and guided questions to help you explore what you’re feeling, clarify what matters to you, and start using what you are learning into practice in your day-to-day life. I’ll challenge you when it’s helpful, support you when it’s hard, and use humor when it fits. In therapy, we might work on: • Feeling less anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed • Navigating friendships, relationships, and family dynamics • Building confidence and figuring out who you are • Managing school pressure, expectations, or burnout • Working through difficult experiences or big life changes In our work together, I’ll be there to support your growth, help you get to know yourself better, and guide you in building the confidence and skills needed to navigate your life with more clarity and direction. For parents I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience working with adolescents and young adults in educational settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported young people through academic, emotional, and social challenges while working closely with families. My work has included: • Helping adolescents manage anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm so they can function more effectively day-to-day • Supporting young people who feel stuck, unmotivated, or are struggling to engage in school or daily responsibilities • Working with adolescents and families to better understand challenges, reduce stress, and create realistic ways to support daily life • Guiding adolescents through peer conflict, relationship challenges, and social stressors • Helping adolescents build confidence and develop strategies when they feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or stuck in school or other areas of life • Responding to crisis situations and helping adolescents regain a sense of stability and safety In my therapy work, I focus on helping adolescents and young adults build self-awareness, strengthen communication, develop healthy coping skills, and grow into more confident, capable versions of themselves. Concerns like friendship or relationship challenges, uncertainty about identity, stress at home, feeling overwhelmed or burned out, struggles with motivation, anxiety that gets in the way of daily life, or simply feeling off without a clear reason are all common reasons young people seek support. Therapy can be a place to sort through these experiences and find a clearer path forward. If my approach feels like a good fit, I’d be glad to connect.

I have come to counseling on a different path than some; I had already completed a successful career and was looking for something different. I completed graduate school in Texas and have since become licensed in both Texas and Colorado. The majority of my work is in general counseling and I also work with couples and families. I have worked for University of Texas schools as well as for the University of Alabama. My most recent work with children and families was as a Military and Family Life counselor while embedded in an Elementary School in Abilene, Tx.

What was helpful was care plans easily explained to us in a way that will help our son by using everyday activities to guide his emotional development. Also being fully listened to and affirmed in the things that we are already doing well.

I am a compassionate and passionate Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 20 years of experience who graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Masters in Educational Psychology. I have worked with a large age range, but I have spent career's work working with kids/adolescents and their families. I have worked for many years in both a large military and Hispanic community, and I bring an unique perspective with being a former foster parent and adoptive parent. I am deeply passionate and experienced supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life's struggles and challenges, including anxiety, depression, impulse control, and emotional regulation. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration with the entire family unit, and evidenced based practices, to help each client feel seen, heard, understoood, and working for meaningful change. I believe and work to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for individuals can share their emotion, have their story heard, and develop coping strategies to grow and handle difficulties. My goal is alwasy to be strength focused, help clients see clearly, and see a path toward growth.

She taught us some useful strategies to use during the situations we’re currently struggling with. She is very honest and truthful and that’s a huge plus.

This is Aidan’s dad. I want to say that I’ve seen a real change in my son’s attitude, confidence, and overall happiness. He hasn’t shared much about his sessions with me, but it clearly seems to be helping him. I still think he needs support with prioritizing and avoiding procrastination, but seeing him consistently smiling again and being his joking, laughing self is a blessing, and I’ll gladly take it.

I felt an immediate sense of warmth and kindness from the moment our session began. She clearly explained the process, which made it very easy for me to open up about some difficult transitions. I truly appreciated her non-judgmental approach and her ability to put a name to the complex things I’ve been facing. She provided a clear starting point and a manageable 'homework' assignment that felt helpful rather than overwhelming. I finally feel like I’m moving in the right direction.
