Biography
Working with me feels warm, grounded, and genuinely supportive while also being practical and honest. I help clients understand themselves more deeply instead of just pushing through survival mode. Sessions are collaborative, culturally mindful, emotionally safe, and tailored to the person in front of me whether that means helping a child express emotion, supporting a neurodivergent client, or helping someone untangle anxiety, overwhelm, or difficult life transitions.

Frequently asked questions
How often will you communicate with me as a parent?
I believe parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapeutic process, especially when working with children and teens. I aim to keep communication open through the parent portal, phone calls, or check-ins when clinically appropriate. I want parents to feel supported, informed, and included while also creating a safe space for the child or teen in therapy. I am always happy to collaborate and answer questions or concerns along the way
Do you give homework or practice between sessions?
At times, I may suggest coping skills, reflections, activities, or small practices between sessions if I feel they could be helpful. I always tailor these recommendations to the client’s age, needs, and comfort level. I never want therapy to feel overwhelming or pressure-filled, so these tools are meant to support growth and self-awareness rather than feel like strict assignments.
How do you handle confidentiality with teens?
With this topic I handle confidentiality with teenagers by creating a sage and trusting therapeutic environment while also maintaining appropriate parent involvement when clinically necessary. I explain confidentiality to teenagers always with the parents present so that both parties can know what the limits are. Safety concerns such as risk of harm to self or others. I aim to protect the teens sense of privacy and autonomy while at the same time collaborating with caregivers/ parents in ways that support treatment goals and emotional safety.
What will the first session look like with me ?
First sessions with me are warm, collaborative, and focused on helping children and teens feel emotionally safe and understood. I spend time building rapport and creating a comfortable environment because I believe trust and connection are an important part of therapy. During the first session, we may talk about current concerns, goals for therapy, background information, and confidentiality in an age-appropriate way. Depending on the child or teens age and comfort level, sessions may include conversation, creative activities, play based interventions etc.

Yes! Elsie listens to my concerns about life and family. She is very easy to talk to. As a Christian family it is wonderful to be able to talk to someone I can relate with faith wise.

I already see a change in my child. She struggles with self-esteem and bullying. Elsie has been working with her and she gets so excited for her session. I'm so grateful to have a therapist I trust and is faith based. Finding a therapist that is faith based has been a difficult task for me and finding Elsie was a complete gift from God for my child.
