Hello, I'm Brian! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, an approved Tele-Mental Health provider in Florida, and a Certified Keto and Intermittent Fasting Coach, I bring over two decades of experience in mental health and substance use counseling to our sessions. For the past 22-years, I've dedicated myself to helping individuals, families, and couples navigate their mental health journeys, and for the last 18 years, I've been doing so as a counselor. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in the power of understanding how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and how they impact our overall well-being. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, helping you gain insight and make meaningful changes in your life.

With nearly two decades of experience working with children and families, I am passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. I began my career as an elementary school counselor in 2008 and have dedicated my professional life to supporting children through life's challenges with compassion, creativity, and evidence-based care. I earned my Master of Education in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia, my Education Specialist degree in School Counseling from Georgia State University, and my Doctor of Education in Professional Counseling and Supervision from the University of West Georgia. I have been a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia since 2014, and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida in 2025. My therapeutic approach is individualized to meet each child's unique needs, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, play therapy, and expressive art therapy. I believe children communicate and heal in many different ways, and I strive to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where they feel understood, empowered, and capable of overcoming life's obstacles. Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, or social challenges, my goal is to partner with families to help children build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and discover their own inner strengths. I am committed to providing a warm, collaborative space where every child feels valued, heard, and supported on their journey toward growth and well-being.

I appreciate allowing me as the parent to give some background information and share my concerns so she knows what type of goals to build with my child. My daughter embraced the first session and we are looking forward to continuing.

The session was productive and being able to connect with the therapist prior to the meeting was just what was needed to be able to align with some of those things that are being a struggle in a foundation, but I wanted to make sure that I acknowledge that the professionalism and the backing from the therapist is much helpful.
