Biography

I help adults, teens, and families move past 'just surviving' to build resilience, clarity, and purpose. Facing anxiety, trauma, or life transitions can leave you feeling disconnected. In our sessions, I provide a grounded, non-judgmental space to turn daily stress into lasting strength. As an Army veteran and Baylor-educated therapist, I am dedicated to helping you regain control and feel truly at home in your own skin. Let's take that next step together.

Frequently asked questions

What does our first session look like?

Our first session is all about setting a comfortable pace and getting to know each other. We will discuss what brings you or your teen in, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve without any pressure to share more than you are ready to. We will also outline a clear, actionable plan so you leave knowing what to expect moving forward. It is a grounded, low-stress space designed to help you feel supported from day one.

How will I know if therapy is working?

Progress in therapy usually shows up in practical, real-world ways rather than an overnight shift. You will know it is working when you notice changes like responding to stress with more calm, recovering faster from setbacks, or using practical tools to navigate tough moments.

We will regularly check in on your goals together to track tangible improvements in your day to day life, relationships, and overall mindset, ensuring our work stays focused on what matters most to you.

How do you handle confidentiality with teens?

Privacy is crucial for teens to feel safe and speak openly. I keep what we discuss confidential, while partnering with parents on broad themes, progress, and actionable ways to offer support at home. Before we begin, we discuss these boundaries together so everyone is on the same page. If safety ever becomes a concern, I will involve parents immediately. This balanced approach protects your teen's trust while keeping you connected to their growth.

How do you decide together when therapy is done?

Therapy is complete when you or your teen have met your goals and feel confident using practical tools independently. Throughout our work, we will regularly check in on progress so graduation is never a surprise. When the time comes, we will step down session frequency to ensure a smooth transition. The door always remains open for future check ins, but our main objective is empowering you to thrive without needing ongoing therapy.
