Biography
Hi, I'm Kaitlyn, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) dedicated to helping adolescents and young adults navigate life's challenges with confidence. I earned my Master's degree from the University of Tennessee. I lived in Florida for 2 years after graduating before recently making Hawaii my home for the next few 6 months. Outside of the therapy office, you'll often find me surfing, hiking, playing volleyball, or spending time with friends. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adult men who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, and anger management challenges. Whether you're adjusting to a new stage of life, feeling overwhelmed by stress, struggling with low motivation, or finding it difficult to manage emotions, therapy can provide a supportive space to understand what's happening and develop practical skills to move forward. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Often, the way we interpret situations influences how we feel and how we respond. By identifying unhelpful thought patterns and replacing them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking, CBT can create meaningful and lasting change.
