Biography

Hello, I'm a Licensed Counselor who graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I became a therapist because I believe in the power of being understood. Many of us go through life feeling unseen or unheard, and I want to provide a space where you feel genuinely supported. I'm certified in trauma focused approach and my goal is to help clients uncover strengths and clarity and gain the tools to create a path toward healing and resilience.

Frequently asked questions

What does our first session look like?

Reviewing the client background form and gathering information to better help the client.

How do you decide together when therapy is done?

We review progress and discuss if any other goals need to be worked on before terminating services.

How long does therapy typically take?

It depends on the person sometimes it can take as little as 30 minutes to an hour.

What if my child or teen won't open up to you?

If the child or teen doesn't open up I ask them to give it 5 sessions to build rapport. I provide them with options such as playing games in the beginning of the session to break the ice. If by the 5th session child is still not opening up then we discuss different alternatives for therapy or therapist.

An Adult client

She ought to understand what I was asking and looking for and provided it, which was mostly listening. And I found her insight about grief and grieving very helpful.
