Biography

My approach to treatment is grounded in empathy, safety, collaboration, and playfulness. I believe in co-creating a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions, identify new coping skills, and implement changes they desire to decrease their discomfort. My goal is to help clients identify the contributing factors to their concerns, gain clarity and choice, and be open to working through the discomfort to create and practice lasting change.

Frequently asked questions

How do you handle confidentiality with teens?

I will encourage a teen to share safety issues with their parents either on their own in session or it will be discussed together (teen, parents, and therapist).

How long does therapy typically take?

The length of therapy depends on each individual clients, what the therapy goals are, and how motivated the client is to change. Typically, I would say we can achieve goals within 4-6 month of treatment as it takes at least 12 weeks to practice new thoughts and behavior for it to start to stick.

Victoria was warm and welcoming. She was ingaging and made sure we were comfortable with the procedures and expectations etc. We felt it was a very good beginning.
