Biography

I am a compassionate mental health counselor who graduated from University of Illinois- Springfield while specializing in child, adolescent, and young adult counseling, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. I am passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation, self-esteem concerns, and behavioral difficulties. I also have experience working with children under the age of 10 and understand the importance of developmentally appropriate care. My clinical experience includes utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. However, I firmly believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Each individual is unique, and the therapeutic approach should be thoughtfully tailored to align with the client’s specific needs, goals, and strengths. I am committed to meeting clients where they are, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and understood. By identifying strengths and developing personalized strategies, I aim to empower clients to build resilience, enhance coping skills, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to walk alongside each client as they gain clarity, confidence, and the tools needed to thrive.
