Biography

Greetings, I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management and Criminal Justice. I have spent years serving the community by supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, fear, grief, bullying, and the many life transitions that can disrupt one’s sense of stability. Trauma looks different for every person, and no experience is too small or too “unseen” to matter. I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion‑Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)—tailored to each client’s unique symptoms and healing journey. My goal is to create an environment that is warm, nonjudgmental, welcoming, and safe. I value respect, self‑awareness, direct communication, honesty, and transparency. I am not the therapist who says “I understand” when I don’t. Instead, I sit with you in the truth of where you are. It’s okay not to be okay. What matters is how we work through the process together. Healing is not easy, but it is possible—and it is worth the challenge. In our work, I provide coping skills, compassion, stress‑management strategies, confidence‑building tools, and a personalized plan that aligns with who you are, not who your past tried to shape you into. Starting therapy is a courageous step, especially when old myths suggest that seeking help means you’re “crazy.” The truth is: choosing therapy means you’re wise, self‑aware, and ready for change. When you’ve run out of directions, therapy becomes the place where new paths open. If you feel ready to begin, I welcome you to schedule a session. Let’s walk this journey together toward your personal growth. Every client is unique—and every healing journey deserves to be honored as such.
