Frequently asked questions

What does our first session look like?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and that's completely understandable. The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask about what's been going on in your life, what led you to seek therapy, and what you'd like to work toward. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for my approach. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and understood from the very beginning.

How long does therapy typically take?

The length of therapy depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and the progress you make along the way. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for ongoing support and personal growth. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work together to meet your evolving needs.

How do you decide together when therapy is done?

We'll decide together when you've made meaningful progress toward your goals and feel equipped with the tools and confidence to navigate challenges on your own. We'll check in regularly about your progress, and when the time feels right, we'll plan for a thoughtful ending to therapy. If you ever need support again, you're always welcome to return.
