Frequently asked questions

How often will you communicate with me as a parent?

Doing session check ins is important for treatment. We can discuss further how often that will be needed.

What does our first session look like?

The first session is really important. If a minor, parent is required to be present due to discussing background history, reviewing important information, giving consent to treatment, and discussing availability and expectations of therapy.

How long does therapy typically take?

It varies. Depending on multiple factors and the needs of the client.

How will I know if therapy is working?

I will check in frequently during each session. I encourage transparency and honesty. If you feel therapy is not helping you, or you are not seeing much progress towards your goals, we can discuss the next steps in order to provide the support that you need.

My son said he liked her. Sorry, he's a teen, that's all you get out of them.
