Biography
I help teens and young adults heal, grow, and find peace again as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and life's challenges. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and tailored to each person. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, build healthy coping skills, strengthen confidence, and develop the resilience to move forward with hope.

Frequently asked questions
What does our first session look like?
Our first session is all about getting to know you. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have. My priority is creating a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. There's no pressure to share everything at once; we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
How will I know if therapy is working?
Therapy looks different for everyone, but progress often begins with small changes. You may notice improved coping skills, better communication, increased confidence, healthier relationships, or feeling less overwhelmed. Together, we'll celebrate each step forward and adjust your goals as you grow.
How long does therapy typically take?
The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and progress. Some clients find relief in just a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly check in on your progress and work together to determine what feels most helpful for you.
How do you decide together when therapy is done?
Therapy has a purpose, and it isn't meant to continue forever. As you reach your goals and feel more confident managing life's ups and downs, we'll decide together when you're ready to finish. And if you ever need support again, my door is always open for check-ins or additional sessions.
Do you give homework or practice between sessions?
Growth happens both in and outside the therapy room. The work between sessions often reinforces what we explore in therapy and helps turn new insights into meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll identify simple, personalized ways to practice new skills that fit your goals, comfort level, and everyday life.

I really appreciate all the help you have extended to us especially to my daughter. Alicia’s gentle approach and willingness to listen allowed Bettina to be more open to sharing her feelings and thoughts.
