Biography
My name is “Ronnie” Montgomery- Roper, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years of experience working with children, families, teens, adults, couples, and the aging population. Over the past thirty years, I have had the honor of serving those dealing in the school setting, health care setting, and private practice setting. Problems that I am equipped to help you deal with include managing your child’s behavior, coping with anxiety, managing depression, couples’ conflict, family stress, and grief & loss, and spiritual growth and development. I have been trained and utilize evidenced based techniques such as: CBT/ cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, ACT/acceptance and commitment therapy MI/ motivational interviewing, SFT/ solution focused therapy, and other eclectic models. My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be tailored to the unique emotional and spiritual needs of everyone therefore, when appropriate and desired by you, I also incorporate faith based and biblical concepts into the treatment modality. My treatment approach starts with a thorough assessment of you and your concerns and from there, I create a collaborative and individualized treatment plan while providing support to help you move towards achieving your goals. What you can expect while working with me is a non- judgmental posture, a safe space to be heard, and feeling better equipped to handle life’s challenges.
