Biography

I am deeply passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy and creating a space where each client feels heard, understood, and empowered. I incorporate CBT/DBT to help clients express emotions and process experiences. I believe in fostering a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can explore their emotions, and work towards healing.

Frequently asked questions

What if my child or teen won't open up to you?

It usually means they don’t yet feel emotionally safe, ready, or convinced that talking will help. Pushing for disclosure too quickly often makes them withdraw more.I usually try various approaches such as focusing on building rapport and indirect methods (art, journaling, play music).

How often will you communicate with me as a parent?

I will communicate with the parent(s) at the intake and then briefly at each session. Collaboration on goals, coping strategies, school concerns, or behavior patterns are key to success.
