Biography
Hi, I’m Jennifer Murphy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a passion for helping young people feel understood, supported, and confident in who they are. I believe every person deserves to feel accepted, respected, and supported, no matter where they are in their journey. My approach is flexible because I know that every client is different. I enjoy getting to know each person's unique strengths, interests, and goals so we can find strategies that truly fit their life. I strive to make sessions engaging, especially for children and teens, by incorporating activities, books, games, videos, and other creative tools that encourage participation and make learning new skills feel more natural. I enjoy partnering with families to help carry those skills into everyday life using practical, developmentally appropriate strategies. I value building genuine relationships with my clients and believe that trust is the foundation of meaningful progress. I take time to listen, ask questions with curiosity instead of assumptions, and recognize that you are the expert on your own experiences (or, when working with children, the expert on your child). Whether we're celebrating small victories or working through more difficult moments, my goal is to help clients feel understood, build confidence in themselves, and recognize the strengths they already have as they move toward lasting growth.
