Biography

I am Ida Villavicencio, and for more than twenty-five years I have had the honor of serving as a counselor in the field of education. Counseling has been more than a career to me. It is my life’s calling, rooted in a deep love for listening, guiding, and helping people find clarity, peace, and purpose. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Texas Pan American (1996), a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Texas San Antonio (2003), and a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. My commitment to keep learning led me to doctoral coursework in Trauma and Community Care in Counseling at Liberty University, and I continue to pursue advanced training so my work stays informed and impactful. I believe words can heal and transform. I engage deeply with each person’s story, helping them find their strength, face their challenges, and become the champion of their own narrative. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or a longing for deeper meaning, I offer a space where your voice is honored and your healing is nurtured. My journey has included roles as an educator, school counselor, leadership coach, mentor, and community engagement specialist. Through all of it my mission has stayed the same: to speak life into every dark place, and to help people see that their worth and identity are not defined by anyone’s opinion, but by truth, by their own choices, and by hope. I provide online counseling using integrative, evidence-based methods tailored to you. My work goes beyond easing symptoms. Together we address the roots of distress so the change is deep and lasting. If you are looking for compassionate, expert support on your path to healing and growth, I invite you to take the next step. Let us walk toward your true North together.
