Brian F. Lann, MA, LPC, LPC-S, LAC is an accomplished mental health professional with over 23 years
of experience delivering clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. He brings
deep expertise in the treatment of substance use disorders and complex mental health conditions,
including OCD and related anxiety disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety
Disorder, Agoraphobia, Panic Disorder, Excoriation Disorder, Trichotillomania, Hoarding Disorder,
and Major Depression.
As Owner and Therapist at Midlands Center for Addiction Treatment, LLC / Premier Care, LLC, Brian
provides substance abuse treatment for opioid-dependent populations and leads daily clinical and
financial operations. He manages multidisciplinary staff—including physicians, counselors, nurses,
and nurse practitioners—conducts chart audits, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards,
while also overseeing counseling, treatment planning, discharge planning, and care coordination.
Brian’s clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT), and other
trauma-focused interventions. He has completed more than 40 hours of specialized training in ERP
and HRT, as well as advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing
Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Written Exposure Therapy.
In addition to his private practice work, Brian serves as Managing Partner at Upstate Center for
Addiction Treatment, LLC, providing oversight of clinical and operational functions for addiction
treatment programs. Previously, he worked as Outpatient Utilization Manager at Cenpatico
Behavioral Health, where he reviewed outpatient treatment requests, led staff across South Carolina
and Georgia markets, and conducted audits and medical rounds.
Brian holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and Texas, a Licensed
Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in South Carolina, and a
Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and North Carolina. He earned his MA in Counseling
from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his BS in Psychology/Political Science from
Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina.
