Biography
I am an open-minded and supportive therapist who specializes in anxiety, mood disorders, neurodiversity, relationship and family challenges, and trauma. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a focus on Marriage and Family Counseling and hold graduate certificates in Expressive Arts Therapy and Addictions Counseling. I am also a Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner which involves specific training to meet the complex developmental needs of children who have experienced trauma and attachment insecurity. My main focus in therapy is to help you feel safe and to understand your challenges from your viewpoint. My goal is to help build on your strengths and develop new skills so that challenges feel workable. Being stuck or overwhelmed can feel isolating and I don't want you to feel alone, we can work together. My hope is that you finish therapy with greater self-awareness, confidence, and connection.
