I am currently working towards my license in Florida and have extensive training in play therapy, trauma, and school related concerns. Although I primarily work with children and teens, I also enjoy working with parents and caregivers to help navigate the chaos and joy of life. With over a decade of experience as both an educator and school counselor in elementary and middle schools, I bring a deep understanding of the academic, emotional, and social factors that impact the wellbeing of today’s youth. Recognizing that growth happens within the context of systems, I collaborate with parents, caregivers, and school staff to strengthen communication and nurture connection. My hope is that clients feel heard, understood, and empowered through the messiness and magic of everyday life. I am passionate about providing trauma-informed, highly attuned care to the clients I support. I have a special place in my heart for individuals with high sensitivity or neurodivergence, honoring their individuality and strengths. I am also experienced in supporting those experiencing grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, changes within the family structure, and many more complexities of life. Through play-based and person-centered approaches, I create a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their feelings, express themselves freely, and connect with their inner resilience.

Welcome and pleasure to meet you! I am a compassionate, master’s-level therapist with a diverse clinical background in clinical mental health counseling spanning from infant mental health, general mental health, and addiction/substance use recovery. My experience across these areas has given me a deep appreciation for the unique challenges individuals and families face at every stage of life. I have a particular passion for working with children and families, supporting them through early developmental concerns, relational challenges, and emotional difficulties. I have worked with a wide range of ages, from toddlers and preschoolers to adolescents and adults, tailoring my approach to meet each of my client’s unique needs together. I also have history utilizing neurofeedback and brain mapping, having worked in a clinical facility applying these with both addiction and mental health populations. My therapeutic approach ranges from modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), trauma-informed care, play therapy interventions, and much more. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where individuals of all ages feel truly heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

I’m Erika, a clinical social worker who’s passionate about helping kids, teens, and young adults feel understood, supported, and empowered. Therapy doesn’t have to feel scary or boring — my goal is to make it a safe space where you can be yourself, ask questions, and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I bring a wide cultural perspective to my work. As an immigrant who spent most of my life abroad and comes from a Hispanic and Italian family, I provide a unique understanding of different cultures, traditions, and ways of seeing the world. Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, friendships, school, identity, or just figuring out the next stage in life I’m here to help you build skills, find your voice, and feel more confident.

I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 10–35) as they navigate anxiety, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, and school or career stress. Whether you're a kid trying to figure out the world, a teenager discovering who you are, or a young adult navigating what comes next... I get it. These stages of life can feel like a lot, especially when you're juggling personal growth, identity, independence, and everyone else's expectations at the same time. I also work closely with parents and caregivers, because supporting your child is just as important as supporting them directly. Whether you're looking for guidance on how to show up for your kiddo or just need someone to help you make sense of what they're going through, you don't have to figure it out alone either. Therapy with me is nothing like what you might imagine. I show up as a real person. I laugh, I feel things, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people I work with. My goal is for you (or your child) to actually look forward to coming to sessions, not dread them. I meet every client exactly where they are, no pressure, no judgment, and no one-size-fits-all approach. Healing doesn't have to feel heavy, and sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we least expect them. My background in school-based mental health has given me deep experience working with individuals facing emotional, behavioral, social, and environmental challenges that affect daily life and well-being. I draw on evidence-based approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients better understand themselves, build coping skills, grow their confidence, and move toward real, lasting change. My goal is to help you develop the resilience, clarity, and practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
