Biography
Hi! I’m Kristy, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children and teens navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, and school-related stress. My approach is warm and relationship-based, with a focus on helping clients feel comfortable and understood. Sessions are supportive and engaging, using play, conversation, and shared interests to build trust and allow clients to open up at a pace that feels comfortable. Over time, this foundation supports more open emotional expression and growing confidence. I incorporate evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in ways that feel interactive and developmentally appropriate, focusing on coping skills, frustration tolerance, and problem-solving. With teens, sessions are more conversational and centered around real-life challenges like stress, relationships, and self-esteem, while building practical strategies they can use in their daily lives.
