Biography
I am a Caribbean American therapist working with children and teens and mothers in pregnancy and postpartum. I provide a culturally responsive, trauma-informed space. I help youth with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma build coping skills through play-based approaches. I support maternal mental health, including prenatal and postpartum anxiety and identity shifts. My work is strengths-based and collaborative.

Frequently asked questions
How will I know if therapy is working?
You may notice therapy is working when your child is better able to manage emotions, has fewer or less intense behavioral outbursts, and is using coping skills outside of sessions. You might also see improved communication, mood, and functioning at home or school. Progress is often gradual and may show up in small but meaningful changes over time.
What if my child or teen won't open up to you?
It’s completely normal for children and teens to take time to open up in therapy. I focus on building trust first and creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where they can feel comfortable at their own pace. Some children express themselves more through play, art, activities, or conversation over time rather than immediately talking about difficult feelings. My goal is never to force communication, but to help them feel understood, supported, and emotionally safe enough to engage when they are ready.
