Biography

What would it look like to truly understand yourself, shift the patterns holding you back, and move toward the life you want? Becoming the expert of you is powerful — and you don’t have to do it alone. I’m Anita Plank, MSW, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging seasons. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and anyone ready to create the life they truly want. I support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, burnout, and addictive behaviors. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative, with an emphasis on motivational interviewing and present-focused work. We focus not only on understanding your past, but on what’s happening for you right now — and how you can move forward with intention, confidence, and self-trust. I also draw from CBT, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness, and relational approaches, tailoring our work to your goals and pace. Therapy with me is a space to breathe, reflect, and grow. Together, we’ll build clarity, resilience, and practical tools to help you live a life that feels authentic, aligned, and empowered.

Parent of a 9 year old

Apr 03, 2026

Anita kept our 9 year old son engaged and made sure to ask him and then explain what therapy is and how it can help. Used good analogies to make sure he understood what she was explaining and what to expect going forward. He was nervous to join but she made him feel welcomed to be himself and involved the blended family and parents too!

Kept my son engaged for 60mins and he felt comfortable right away to share. Great experience!
