Hello! I am a social worker that graduated from NC State University and I have a specialization in children and adolescents as well as in autism and ADHD. I try to bring a warmth and kindness to all of my interactions with clients, parents, and anyone in the client's life as well as a level of openness and understanding of the circumstances that surround clients. I am passionate about the support and care that I provide to each person as they navigate through depression, anxiety, life changes, trauma, autism, ADHD, and more. I ground my approach in evidence-based practice, empathy, and individual care for each and every person. My goal, at the end of the day, is to make sure that all of my clients find their strengths, feel empowerd, and can take the steps they need to achieve their goals.

My name is Blake Smith and I provide creative and compassionate mental health counseling with over 25 years of professional experience working in diverse school counseling and therapeutic settings. I graduated with honors from Western Carolina University in 2003 with a Master’s Degree in education & school counseling. I am honored to professionally support adolescents, families, and adults & young adults as they navigate life’s various transitions, challenges and opportunities. My range of focus is diverse and includes: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship repair and growth, bullying, self-leadership and wellness goals. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, creativity, and evidence-based practices, ensuring that each client feels heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful choices and change. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of self-worth. My goal is to help clients uncover their strengths, gain clarity, and create a path toward personal calm, connectedness, and lasting contentment.
