Biography
I am an empathetic mental health counselor who graduated from Albizu University with a Master of Science in Psychology with a major in Mental Health Counseling. I have been exposed to extensive training working with children and adolescents in different settings, facing challenges including but not limited to anger management, mood deregulation, behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy, support, and evidence-based practices, ensuring that each client feels heard, seen, and can embrace change with autonomy. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their emotions, develop adaptive strategies, and build a stronger sense of self-worth. My goal is to assist clients explore their strengths, manifesting their true potential, and sustaining growth and resilience.

Seeing Amaya open up in her own way and express how she felt in a safe, nonjudgmental, and understanding environment was encouraging. She enjoyed the session.
