Frequently asked questions
Do you give homework or practice between sessions?
I aim to give homework between sessions, based on what we are working on at the time.
What if my child or teen won't open up to you?
I will try different approaches to get your child or teen to open up to me. If all attempts are unsuccessful, I will work with you and your child/teen to determine the best fit for them. For example, if a child or teen feels more comfortable working with a male therapist versus me, I will work with our team to find a possible good fit.
How often will you communicate with me as a parent?
I will communicate with you, as a parent, as often as needed. We are a team supporting your child/teen. Open communication is imperative to aid your child/teen in being successful in therapy.
