Finish your hours with families in front of you.
Finish your supervised hours as an associate therapist through Emora, with children, teens, and parents in front of you. Emora matches you with a supervisor licensed in your state, books your after-school calendar with children, teens, and parents, credentials you where the plan allows, and pays you per completed session while you work toward full licensure. You bring your board's associate registration, the hours your board requires, and two or more after-school or weekend blocks a week. If you already have a supervisor, keep them.
We get you in network with the plans families already have.
48 hours
to hear back, and you see your rates when you apply.
5 to 40+
sessions a week, at the size you choose. Emora books them.
3 to 8 pm
is when demand peaks. You set the hours you open.
4 sessions
to reported improvement. Measurement-based care is why.
Who this is for
- Associate, intern, or provisional license in a state where Emora accepts associates (LPC Associate, AMFT, LMSW, RMHCI, LCMHCA, and similar), with substantial progress toward full licensure already made
- A pediatric or family practicum, or real experience with kids
- After-school and weekend blocks
Not the right fit
- Students who have not yet earned the associate or intern credential
- States where we do not yet accept associates (apply anyway, and you hear first)
Hours
Weekdays 3 to 8 pm and weekends fill first. 10 to 15 sessions a week is the common shape, and you set your own hours.
How you are paid
Per completed session with a signed note. Paid twice a month by direct deposit, whether or not insurance has paid us yet.
What you get on Emora.
A supervisor, matched
Emora matches you with a supervisor licensed in your state and eligible for your license type. Already have one? Keep them.
Families brought to you
Children and teens matched to your training, the ages you take, and the after-school hours you open. You do no marketing.
Paid twice a month
Direct deposit for every completed session, whether or not insurance has paid us yet.
Hours tracked in the EHR
Your supervisor signs off in the same chart you write in. Nothing to reconstruct at licensure time.
AI-assisted notes you sign
The Emora Care Platform drafts your note and treatment plan, you edit and sign it, and your supervisor signs in the same chart.
A path that continues
The day your full license posts, you stay on Emora as a licensed therapist with your caseload intact.
Your EHR
The Emora Care Platform, built from the ground up.
The Emora Care Platform is our own EHR, built from the ground up for work with kids, teens, and parents. Scheduling, AI-assisted notes, treatment plans, measurement-based care, parent portals, and supervision sign-off live in one place. You work in one chart with one login, and there is no second system to open for notes or billing.
“I’m really impressed with the AI notes. They’ve been incredibly helpful and do a great job of capturing the session in a way that is both thorough and nuanced. What I particularly appreciate is that they allow me to stay fully present and engaged with the client rather than dividing my attention between the conversation and documentation. Presence in the therapeutic relationship is extremely important to me, so that has been a significant benefit.”

What associates on Emora say
Working with Emora has been amazing! From the moment I started, the platform has been a Godsend. Unlike other platforms I’ve heard about, my time with Emora has been phenomenal. Provider Support has been super helpful; the attentiveness they’ve shown me as a clinician, their responsiveness, their care, has been outstanding. It’s something I’ve never experienced before with a platform. Emora actually listens to their clinicians, they truly value your feedback, suggestions, and genuinely makes every effort to implement practices that helps improve workflow and satisfaction. They’ve truly made me feel seen, heard, and valued!

I genuinely love working with Emora. I get to do meaningful work with amazing kids and families while having the flexibility to fit it into my life. I’ve felt supported as a clinician, and it’s honestly been such a positive experience.

Courtney Trejo, LPC-Associate
The attentiveness that you guys have, especially for clinicians, the responsiveness. It has been really awesome. That, too, is something that I have never experienced. The fact that you all actually hear us, and you take things into account, and you actually apply it. And that, for me, as a clinician, makes me feel seen and heard.

The training was thorough and clearly explained everything. All of my questions were answered, and I feel well-prepared moving forward. I’m excited to join the team, thank you!

Questions associates ask
Do I need my own supervisor?
No. Emora matches every associate with an Emora supervisor licensed in your state and eligible to supervise your license type. If you already have a board-approved supervisor, keep them. We confirm supervision is in place before your first family.
Do my Emora hours count toward licensure?
Yes. Supervised clinical hours delivered on Emora count the way any supervised telehealth hours count in your state, and your supervisor signs off in the same EHR you chart in. Confirm any telehealth-specific limits with your board.
Which states accept associates?
The map on this page shows every state where Emora accepts associates today, with the title your state uses. If yours is not open yet, apply anyway and you will hear from us first.
How does pay work for associates?
You are paid per completed session with a signed note, at the associate tier for your state. The application shows you the exact figure before any call. Pay arrives twice a month by direct deposit, whether or not insurance has paid us yet.
Clinical oversight and quality of care
Measured every session, with a clinical team on call.
A real clinical interview
We ask about your under-10 toolkit, your pediatric caseload, and your no-show playbook, and we check the answers in a clinical interview.
Your numbers, from week one
Attendance, cancellations, and retention are on your dashboard from week one, so you see what families experience before anyone else raises it.
Measurement in every session
Age-matched scales such as the PHQ-A, GAD-7, SCARED, and Vanderbilt go out to families automatically between visits. The scores are in the chart before you open the session, so you walk in knowing what changed, and you decide what it means for the plan.
A clinical team on call
Biweekly clinical office hours with the Clinical Director, one-to-one consults when you ask, and same-day answers when you message the clinical team from inside the platform. Supervision for associates and collaborating physicians for prescribers are in place. You choose how much guidance you want, from weekly check-ins to a light touch.
